background character

Overworked IT employee who dies on the job and gets revived by Nyarlathotep in exchange for possession of his life. Bitter, sardonic, cynical, and overall exhausted, but rarely gets a break. Nyarlathotep mainly sends Felix on errands or terrorizes him for fun, and thinks of him as a goon or peon.

He has a Lobotomy Coproration AU, where he works as a clerk in Extraction. He has a mild awareness of previous loops, ridiculously high Sanity, and extremely low stats in everything else, so he dies often and tries to act nonchalant about it.

mountain-born

The daughter of a powerful mountain-dwelling oni and a retired adventurer, caught between two worlds and their expectations: to succeed her mother as the mountain's ruler, or to give in to her father's family's expectations and become a tame young lady. Rather than take on either of these options, Kaoru chose to find her own path. She's an adventurer these days, using her strength and oni abilities to keep her party safe from harm, and figures she'll figure out what she wants to do eventually.

shooting star

Light was originally supposed to be a 'self-insert' character for some RP but ended up evolving into their own character. I think they're neat. They're bubbly and friendly, anxious and exhausted, have trouble saying no, struggle with impostor syndrome and self-worth, and end up in weird situations often.

Their main AUs include:

  • Final Fantasy X|V: See Light's entry here.
  • Fate/Grand Order: See here.
  • Honkai: Star Rail: Kafka's Stellaron vessel and a linchpin of fate, even though they generally have no idea what they're supposed to be doing.
  • Pokémon: My character for my Pokémon Unbound ROM hack play-through. A random person from Borrius who was dragged into a regional conflict against their wishes, but figures since no one else is going to do anything, they might as well. Their partner is a Tyranitar named Tarmac.

go home.

My Courier in Fallouts NV and 4. Prefers to talk things out; it's said they could talk a bullet into changing its course, and that's how they survived being shot by a Khan. They have a checkered and complicated past, especially where it concerns their Courier activity, but after earning New Vegas its independence under a united banner, they left the Mojave a hero and a legend. Marty reappeared in the Commonwealth years later holing up in Goodneighbor following the clatter of caps and ended up under the Railroad's banner, where they worked to get escaped Synths out of bad situations. Their body is a mix of flesh and robotics after a mishap with surgeries at the Big Empty, with a prosthetic spine, leg, arm, heart, and liver. They're Mexican descent with family escaped from Legion territory.

brilliant pride

In 2018 I decided a good idea was to mash up all of my favorite male shonen hero tropes into (at the time) a female character, and what came out of that blender was Yako, a bisexual, nonbinary, gender-non-conforming foxgirl with a love for adventure, a nose for trouble, anger management issues, magic powers, and an attitude. Since then she's taken over my entire life.

Yako has an inclination towards heroism, mostly for the glory, the adventure, and the chance to test her mettle against powerful opponents, but her actual capability varies per AU. She's not stupid, but she has a tendency to make dumb decisions, so she tries to keep someone with a level head around to keep her from causing problems by accident (though once she has it in her head to cause problems on purpose, very few things can stop her.) Her primary skill across AUs is 'Conviction', which has various attributes depending on the AU.

Her main AUs include:

  • Final Fantasy X|V: See here.
  • Fate/Grand Order: Auxiliary Master Candidate #43, allied to the Master of Chaldea. At first she's the Master of Cú Chulainn (Caster), then loses her Servant during the attack on Chaldea during the Temple of Time; then, during Cosmos in the Lostbelt, she makes a contract with Sétanta (Saber) and Kama (Assassin), beginning her journey to becoming a worthy team leader. She has a strong bond with Ritsuka, Mash, and Kadoc.
  • Honkai: Star Rail: A Foxian from the Xianzhou Yaoqing who set out to explore the stars. After crashing on a desert planet, she ended up stranded alongside a Galaxy Ranger and fell in love with his stories and way of life, deciding to become a Galaxy Ranger on her own. No one really gave her the authority, and she doesn't follow Lan, so she acts on her own instincts. Her weapon is a high-tech tactical slingshot, her element is Physical, and she follows the Path of Nihility.
  • Pokémon: A (non-fox) teenage Trainer from the Unova region. Her partner is Victini, which she rescued from Team Plasma despite not having any Pokémon of her own. The pair have their sights set on the Pokémon League Championship, but they have a long way to go.
